Short-term Volunteer Positions
Payment based on Quality Measures Project
APhA is seeking pharmacists with extensive knowledge of quality measures and payment opportunities.Volunteers on this taskforce will be required to share their experiences with being paid for delivering services that improve specific quality metrics. Members of APhA’s Medication Management Special Interest Group (SIG) will collate information collected into the two guides and volunteers will be required to review the content for accuracy and completeness. Volunteers may offer their work to be used as a case study, but this is not required.Volunteers will be required to participate in teleconference calls as needed throughout a 6-8 week period and to participate in email exchanges with members of the APhA Medication Management SIG regarding the content developed and collated for the guides. Marketing MTM to Prescribers Toolkit
APhA is seeking pharmacist/prescriber communication champions to develop a Marketing MTM to Prescribers Toolkit. Prescriber communication expertise will be used to develop tools for Toolkit that pharmacists across the country can utilize all or parts of it to educate prescribers about pharmacists provided MTM and other patient care services. The contents of this Toolkit are designed to assist in the development of relationships that will improve prescriber understanding of how pharmacists can work with them to improve quality measures and provide better patient outcomes. APhA New Practitioner Network Standing Committee Member
Support the work of the APhA NPN and provide feedback on programming and member benefits through the education, communications, or member engagement committee. Applicants are appointed by the APhA New Practitioner Advisory committee and serve a term of one year. Applications for the 2017-2018 committees are now available. APhA-APPM Standing Committee Member
APhA-APPM is seeking volunteers for their standing committees in the areas of Awards, Communications, Education and Policy. Members who hold APhA-APPM as their primary Academy are eligible for consideration and appointment. Previous committee experience is not required. Committee volunteers are asked to serve for one year beginning at the conclusion of the APhA Annual Meeting. Service may include participating in periodic committee meetings and developing projects and/or initiatives of the Academy. Learn more and apply by December 15, 2016.
